Revelation 15:1 Glass and Fire
The bitterness of martyrdom gives way to eternal celebration. Their victory has always been dependent upon the strength that God provides and this is reflected in the harps given to them by God. And what a glorious celebration. The enemy has been defeated and the bowls of wrath will bring this evil age to a conclusion. The joy of eternity awaits!

Revelation 14:20 The battlefield
To read full post please tap image and scroll down. There is a justice here, that as Christ Jesus was crucified outside of the city, so this battle will take place outside too. Those who hold to the idea that Jesus is a humble servant will be stretched by the description of Jesus as the mighty bloody warrior.

Revelation 14:20 Trampled winepress
To read full post please click image and scroll down. In the past few posts we have explored the corn harvest which I suggested will be the harvest of the redeemed and then the grape harvest which is clearly the wrath of God being poured out upon the wicked. God will inspire the antichrist to march against Jerusalem but it will be a foolish move.
-
Revelation 14:19 The bitter harvest
The gathering of the grape harvest is usually one of great joy and expectation. But this is a bitter harvest. God, perfect in holiness, has no alternative but to righteously pour out His wrath on a deliberately sinful world.
-
Revelation 14:14 Two harvests
Most assume that the ‘one like a son of man’ is Jesus himself and there is no real reason to believe otherwise. Once again, everything happens according to the perfect timing of God, who has been so patient, not wanting one person to perish. But yet the world has become so evil. God is like the perfect farmer, who waits for just the right day, before nodding to his labourers and signalling the commencement of the harvest.
-
Revelation 14:13 Rest from labours
The Christian life is often one of labour but this will not always be the case. Admittedly, we will not be sitting on deckchairs for all eternity, contemplating our navels, but the aches and stresses of our present life will pass away and we will enter into a deep and rewarding sense of peace.
-
Revelation 14:11 Eternal torment
Please tap photo for full post. The time to prepare your heart and resolve to absolutely refuse the mark of the beast is now. Whatever form it will take, we need to be firm and prepared and able to stand strong, and able to help and advise others. We are running a marathon and we will need endurance, even though it feels like a sprint at times!
-
Revelation 14:11 The cost of the mark
Please tap photo for full post. Some have concluded that they will prepare themselves and their churches when the time comes. But these events will undoubtedly unfold in rapid time. There will be no time for preparation and many will be left hopelessly vulnerable. We are praying that an army of teachers will emerge who will be able to sensibly warn others of the mark of the beast and encourage them to prepare their hearts in order that they might be able to stand firm.
-
Revelation 14:6 Fear God and give Him glory
Please click the photo to see whole post. We pray that many will respond to this gospel that brings eternal life. The radical end-time church and the angelic realms will be working together to make sure that everyone, regardless of where they might be living, have a chance to hear the gospel and respond, and hence enter into the glory of repentance.

The Pure Song
Please click the photo to see full post. They are offered as firstfruits, indicating that the number of Jews to be redeemed and purchased is not completed by this 144,000, they are merely the firstfruits of a much larger harvest when Christ Jesus returns.

Revelation 14:2 Beyond Words
Please click photo to see the whole post. There are times when the writer should put his pen back down on the table, and just delight in these superb verses; that capture the gentle beauty and the awesome power, that describe a worship that simply goes beyond words.

Revelation 14:1 The Identity of Israel
Please click photo to see full article. Waves of persecution followed the Jews. They learnt to keep a packed suitcase by the front-door, ready for when they would be moved on. The horror of the Odessa massacre and the Auschwitz holocaust should have finished them off, once and for all.But these were the children of a faithful God and eventually, miraculously, they were to reclaim their homeland once more. The enemy had sought to destroy their identity but his evil plans would not prevail.
-
Revelation 14 God’s promise
God was angry at the blatant idolatry in Jerusalem and a slaughter would come to those who involved themselves in it. Only those who were repentant and were lamenting over all the detestable things that were done would receive a mark on their foreheads and be spared.
-
Revelation 14:1 The 144,000
Revelation 7 holds God’s promise that the 144,000 would go through the tribulation but would be spared, by virtue of the seal placed on their foreheads. God is faithful to His promise. Here, in Revelation 14, God’s faithfulness is proven to be true and not a single one of the 144,000 is lost.
-
Revelation 13:17a 666
Gematria and numerology are the art of assigning a letter to a number and vice-versa. Therefore, the number 666 can be made to signify the name of a person. How exactly they work this out baffles me but I do not lose any sleep over the matter.
-
Revelation 13:16 Hunger
Despite the dazzling and deceptive charisma of the antichrist, nevertheless he will use force and coercion to get his way. Those who choose not to worship the antichrist and receive his mark of ownership will be reduced to great hardship. A hungry belly will be much more likely to acquiesce to the demands of the antichrist than a full one.
-
Revelation 13:16 Writing on the wall
We see here that he will also create some form of distinguishing mark that will identify those who align themselves with the beast’s empire and those who remain faithful to the Lord.
-
Revelation 13:15 A deadly image
Satan seeks to climb to the dizzy heights of equality with God by creating life by himself. God has created man so that we should willingly bow in worship before His throne.Satan creates an image so that man is forced to bow before it in worship on pain of death.
-
Revelation 14a Helmets on our heads!
I am told that on the horizon there is a computer-generated alternative universe that will be accessible by means of helmets that folk attach to their heads. The image of the antichrist will thereby be sent to these helmets. May we stay alert on the watchtower, not jumping at shadows, but wisely studying the scriptures, refreshed by the spirit, and ready to warn a sleeping world of approaching dangers.
-
Revelation 13:14 Magic formulas
A whole generation has been soaked in the quest to discover dark secrets and magic formulas. Like moths to the proverbial flame, they will be drawn by the supernatural incantations of the false prophet who will open the door to ever deeper spiritual experiences and false knowledge.
-
Revelation 13:13 Miraculous signs
In the last days, great powers and miraculous signs will abound. The gift of discernment will be essential to separate true God-given miracles and the counterfeit versions from the enemy. We have been warned to be on our guard, not cynical of the real deal but yet not taken in by the deceptive counterfeit.
-
Revelation 13:12 Evil authority
The strength of the antichrist will be in military prowess and political wranglings. By contrast, the false prophet will excel in the arena of faith and worship, convincing the populace of the wisdom of bowing before the altar of the end-time beast.
-
Revelation 13:11 False Prophet
Over the years, many false prophets have sneaked their way onto the scene and caused confusion and havoc but none will compare with this end-time false prophet. He will work alongside the antichrist to create untold deception and falsehood in the last days.
-
Revelation 13:10 Endurance and faith
This will be an intense period of time. Our worldly considerations will have passed away. We will be on the cusp of the return of our Lord. We will have nothing to lose by surrendering to the will of God. The gap between heaven and earth will be thin indeed and we will be so very conscious of the heavenly realms. Faith and anointing will be permeating through us. The faithful surrender to martyrdom will astound the world and cause many to turn from their sins in repentance. The harvest will be great indeed.
-
Revelation 13: Who do you follow…
Those who choose to dwell in the darkness will follow the authority of the antichrist. They will be taken in by his deceit and lies. He will beguile them with false promises and lead them on the road to destitution. Those who choose to dwell in the light, whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life, will follow Jesus, no matter how much it may cost them. The path they follow will ultimately lead to the throne of God.
-
Revelation 13:7 Murderous conquest
Satan will empower and authorise the end-time antichrist to conquer the saints’ Thus, the antichrist will launch a wave of persecution against Christians throughout the world in order to conquer them.
-
Revelation 13:5 Humble Service
There is a world of difference between Jesus serving mankind and giving the glory to the Father and the antichrist who desires to rule over mankind and who seeks the glory for himself.
-
Revelation 13:5 ‘Proud words…
The antichrist beast will not be walking according to Jesus’ humble ways. Rather, he will elevate himself to an inflated position and seek to glorify himself. By doing so, he will reveal his true allegiances to his corrupt and perverted master.
-
Revelation 13:3 Fatal wound healed
Death has always been the dividing line that has defeated the strongest of warriors. The brightest of minds have not yet worked out how to evade the grim reaper.Every dictator has sought an eternal reign but each one has been brought to their knees by human mortality.
-
Revelation 13:3 Astounding the world
We all like to be on the winning side and the antichrist will offer all the temptations that victory can offer. He will offer purpose and vision to a lost generation. They will follow him, without discernment, but yet his promises will prove to be illusory and his path will lead to deception and destruction.
-
Revelation 13 Four empires
Therefore, Daniel 7:11a suggests that the world will separate itself out into four separate empires, with the empire of the ‘beast antichrist’ emerging from one of them. This is an intriguing line of thought, and gives a certain insight into modern geo-political developments. Some suggest that we are witnessing a distinct ‘mystery babylon’ empire emerging in our time. I am sure we will be considering this further in days to come.
-
Revelation 13 Empire
In the end-times, Satan will raise up and empower a leader and his demonic empire that will perfectly express his evil ambitions by seeking to destroy Israel. His empire will gather and express all the godless evil of previous empires.
-
Revelation 13 The beast emerges
The end-time antichrist, the beast of Revelation 13, will willingly accept everything that the devil brings to the table, despite the terrible consequences that it will bring upon him. He will assume Satan’s power and authority but it will be a poison that will lead to his demise.
-
Revelation 12: enraged
Both Israel and the Church are joined together by being the object of the devil’s wrath. This binds us together. For this reason, the church needs to pray and intercede for our Jewish brothers. We are very much in the same boat!
-
Revelation 12: The serpent’s mouth
To be honest with you, I have read a fair number of commentaries on this verse and I have never really been satisfied with any of them. No-one seems to be very sure what it really means. Some compare this vile river of overwhelming evil with the purity of the river of life that flows from the throne of God. Further than that we cannot say.

Saturday recommendation
David Rosenthal from Zion’s Hope has put forward a very balenced and sympathetic report on the whole subject, sensitively exploring some of the hidden agendas that lie behind the whole conflict.

Rider on the White Horse conclusion
I would conclude therefore that the two riders are completely different persons. In Revelation 6:1 we have an imposter; an imitation Christ; white-washed with a veneer of deceptive righteousness but with an evil heart that seeks to conquer souls for himself and his own twisted glory’ In Revelation 19:11 we have Christ Jesus who has come in perfect righteousness, to fight and destroy this enemy.
-
Rider on the White Horse 7
Therefore, the rider on the white horse here in Revelation 6 wears a different form of crown to the many crowns worn by the rider of the white horse in Revelation 19:11, thus separating the two as being different people. One is Christ Jesus and the other is the false antichrist.
-
Rider of the White Horse part 6
The rider on his white steed rides out as a conqueror bent on conquest.I would argue that this rider is the Antichrist whose purpose is to coerce and dominate the souls of the inhabitants of this earth by spiritual deception. Our relationship with Jesus is one of willing love and not of forced conquest.
-
Rider on the White Horse 5
So this rider on a white horse may appear to be righteous but he has covered his corruption with lies and falsehoods. We are called to see behind his deceptions and know his evil heart. We need to discern. We must stay close and true to Jesus!

Sunday Review
I got back from a trip abroad and went down with the covid virus. I have been huddled underneath a mountain of blankets, both fevered and frozen to death at the same time; sneezing, coughing and various other things..
-
Rider on a White Horse 4
It seems strange and unlikely for one of the living creatures to be commanding or ordering Jesus on a white horse to come forth. In the previous two chapters they were devoutly worshiping him day and night. mt
-
Rider on a White Horse 3
It would be much more likely that this rider is the Antichrist who will actually bring warfare, hunger and death in his wake. Some have attempted to turn the elements of warfare, hunger and death into symbols of this or that but this seems like a desperate attempt to symbolize the meaning out of the text in order to deny the existence of the coming Antichrist.
-
Rider on the White Horse 2
It is imperative that we can discern between Christ Jesus and the deceptive Antichrist, that we can tell who is who, otherwise we risk being horribly deceived in these last days. It certainly makes much more sense that Jesus the Lamb opens the first seal to reveal someone other than himself! Someone such as a false imposter.
-
Rider on the White Horse 1
“It is imperative that we can discern between Christ Jesus and the deceptive Antichrist, so that we can tell who is who, otherwise we risk being horribly deceived in these last days.”

The Martyrdom of Stephen 9
Jesus knows the troubles that we face but he also knows the victory that is coming. Those who hold unswervingly to the faith will know the great victory in Christ. Jesus will come to gather his bride, his beloved church, to bring them into the heavenly courts. In the heavenly courts, Jesus will tend to those who have suffered in the tribulations. And then King Jesus will return to earth once more, to bring justice and retribution and establish his kingdom.
-
The Martyrdom of Stephen 8
We have already seen this principle at work, in China and Iran. Whenever the enemy seeks to bring darkness, the bright light of the gospel of salvation shines ever more brightly! Jesus knows the troubles that we face but he also knows the victory that is coming.
-
The Martyrdom of Stephen 7
The Church will be called to walk in perfect love and forgiveness. Even though it may seem that the Church is being brought to nothing, nevertheless our faith, the faith of Jesus upon the cross, will ensure the victory of King Jesus who will return in power and glory and destroy the enemy with just one breath!
-
The Martyrdom of Stephen 6
But yet the shed blood of the martyrs has never been wasted, not a single drop, and the advancement of the gospel throughout the world has been the blessed fruit of countless martyrs throughout the generations. The more the world will persecute the end-time Church, the wider will be the spread of the gospel and the greater the harvest gathered.Authoritarian governments endeavour to crush the growth of the Church in their nation, but their persecution only serves to purify and give strength to the Church.
-
The Martyrdom of Stephen 5
In the very end-times, in the midst of the tribulation, the Church will draw so near to the court-rooms of heaven; the gap between heaven and earth will be so very thin and we will be bathed in God’s holy presence. It will be the same for the end-time Church. Our witness will become profound and this will cause the world to cover their ears and yell to drown out the sound of such an anointed gospel message. Then the stones of persecution will begin to fly.
