Day 8 Good morning and welcome to day eight of this short series focusing on God’s love for Israel. Yesterday we looked at the protection that God provides to Israel through the tribulation.
However, during the tribulation, the confidence, arrogance and self-belief of Israel will be broken by their circumstances.
Please may I ask you to read these verses slowly…
Deuteronomy 32:36 ‘The Lord will judge His people and have compassion on his servants, when He sees their strength is gone.’
Daniel 12:7a ‘When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.’
We all know how arrogant and self-reliant we can become. This is the testimony of so many us: that we refused to believe in the gospel until our lives began to seriously fall apart and in brokenness we cried out for help and the Lord graciously came to rescue us.
During the tribulation, the stubborn arrogance of Israel will finally be broken and they will be ready and open to receive Christ Jesus as their Messiah when he returns in power and glory.
Tomorrow we look at the spirit of repentance that God will pour out on Israel.
Thank you for reading this.
