Day 2 God has always expressed his unfailing love and compassion for the Jews.
Jeremiah 31:3 ‘The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with loving kindness, I will build you up again.”
Isaiah 54:7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment but with everlasting kindness, I will have compassion on you” says the Lord your redeemer.’
Isaiah 54:10 “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord , who has compassion on you.’
This has to be the biblical foundation for our understanding of this subject.
God has made a unilateral covenant with the Jewish people and He will never break this covenant. His eternal integrity would be otherwise at stake. His covenant is immutable.
We are blessed if we align ourselves with God’s love and compassion for Israel and pray for their redemptive salvation. As we attune ourselves to God’s love for Israel, may it transform our hearts deep inside.
Tomorrow we will look at the unfaithfulness of Israel towards God. To get there please click here.
